Bowness Bay Brewing is a craft beer brewery on the edge of the beautiful Lake District National Park. Starting over 10 years ago in 2012 we have since found our permanent home in the popular Castle Mills in Kendal, which has been attracting many artisan businesses for a number of years now. Today we are brewing over a dozen different beers, supplying hotels, restaurants, pubs and bars, as well as independent shops and grocery stores in the North West, running our very own tap room, The Barrel House and an ever growing events business, offering everything from live music events to hosting weddings. What started a long time ago as a wonderful dream, has since become an amazing reality we would not have imagined possible.

At Bowness Bay Brewing, we know what makes a good pint. Our customers rely on us to brew smooth and flavourful ales and lagers that make the perfect accompaniment to an evening with friends. Our brewery was founded in the heart of the Lake District and this beautiful landscape continues to inspire us every day and provide the Lakeland water that makes the freshest beer you’ll ever taste.We are very proud of the awards we have won with Steamer winning a SIBA Gold, Fell Walker winning Best Pale Ale in England at the World Beer Awards 2023 and Swan Blonde winning Silver.
